TheBacker.io is a platform that connects creators with their supporters ("Backers"). Creators can share exclusive content, and Backers can support creators through monthly subscriptions or one-time payments.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Types

• Creator Accounts: For individuals creating and sharing content
• Backer Accounts: For supporters subscribing to creator content

4. Creator Obligations

4.1 Content Responsibilities

• You own all rights to content you post
• You grant TheBacker.io a license to display and distribute your content
• You are responsible for fulfilling commitments to your Backers
• You must deliver content promised in your subscription tiers

4.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed through Stripe
• You must provide accurate banking information for payouts
• Platform fees and payment processing fees will be deducted from earnings
• Payouts are subject to Stripe's terms and processing times

5. Backer Obligations

5.1 Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly until cancelled
• You can cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months

5.2 Content Access

• You may only access content you have paid for
• You may not share, redistribute, or resell creator content
• Content access is for personal use only

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful content
• Violate any laws or third-party rights
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Spam, harass, or abuse other users
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the platform
• Share or distribute creator content without permission
• Engage in fraudulent payment activities
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

7. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove content that violates these terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies. However, we are not obligated to monitor all content on the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

Creator Content: Creators retain ownership of their content. By posting, you grant TheBacker.io a non-exclusive license to host and distribute your content.

Platform: TheBacker.io, its logo, and all platform features are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer our platform.

9. Payments and Refunds

9.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

9.2 Refund Policy

• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable
• One-time payments are generally non-refundable
• Refunds may be issued at our discretion for technical errors

9.3 Chargebacks

Disputing charges through your bank instead of contacting us may result in account suspension. Please contact our support team first to resolve payment issues.

10. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• The quality, accuracy, or reliability of content
• That creators will fulfill their commitments
• Security against unauthorized access

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheBacker.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended inactivity
• At our discretion with or without notice

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law
