I’m a creator and YouTuber, and like a lot of people who share their projects and adventures, I’ve relied on supporter platforms to help keep my work going. Over time though, something started to feel off. What once felt like a genuine way for people to support creators slowly became more confusing, more cluttered, and more expensive — without really giving anything extra back.

Talking with other creators and supporters, I realized I wasn’t alone. The same frustrations kept coming up: too many tabs, too many fees, too much distance between people who just want to support something they care about and the people creating it.

So I decided to build TheBacker.io.

The goal is simple: make supporting creators feel good again. Fewer distractions. Clear pricing. Less taken in fees. And more of what supporters give actually reaching the creator they’re backing.

This isn’t about chasing scale or squeezing value. It’s about building something honest, easy to use, and focused on the relationship between creators and the people who believe in their work.
